Eggs are generally food healthy to eat with proteins and vitamins. You can eat eggs raw, boiled or cooked in a pan as scrambled eggs or an omelet. Boiling eggs is one of the easiest ways to prepare them.
- Place the fresh eggs gently in an empty pot.
- Run cold water about 1 inch (3 cm) of water over them to prevent the shells will crack immediately. Place the pot on a stove and turn it on. Cook the eggs on medium heat; if boiling is too intense the eggs can jump and break.
- Reduce the heat to low. Add a pinch of salt to the water.
- Simmer for 2 to 3 minutes for soft-boiled eggs or 10 to 15 minutes for hard-boiled eggs.
- Remove the egg with a spoon or ladle and let it cool slowly, or run cold water over it to cool it more quickly.

Sometimes I boil an egg in a kettle. Its really fast.
Boiling eggs without cracking them requires a teaspoon of vinegar and salt in the water before boiling. When they are done, the shell is whole and the removal is quite easy. Don’t forget to use the shells for composting.
